Vierville to take charge ahead of Redline at a solid tempo.
NORTHERN BOOGIE (7) won a Class 1 over this distance at Muswellbrook two back then flew home to grab third over 1100m at Armidale last start. In-form sprinter who gets in beautifully after the claim - should be able to storm home under the light weight. EL BEATLE (2) missed the kick before finding the line well to be beaten just 2.1 lengths last time out over this trip at Wellington. Going well and he is at his best over 1000m. VIERVILLE (1) has been racing okay without threatening in better races than this. Led and didn't give in without a fight over a longer trip at Taree most recently. Has his share of weight but this sets up nicely. KAWATIRI (4) has raced on the pace and gone under narrowly at her last couple, both over 1100m. Best form comes at today's journey so expect her to be in the finish. GOLDEN VADER (3) won third-up last prep so she is a likely improver after a couple of plain efforts to kick off this campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Northern Boogie just gets the nod.
