Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a win over 1200m at Morioka Dirt. Expected to bring the good form from last campaign to this contest. LE CORSAIRE (11) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by one length over 1400m at Kochi. That continued the very strong form this campaign. Leading player again. SHONAN NAZCA (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1400m here. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. SPROUTING (8) raced on the speed when resuming last start and battled on well but found one better over 1400m at this track. Could prove hard to run down again.
