Did a good job from an awkward gate at Werribee last time, following a narrow defeat at Ballarat. Draws low today, back 100m, and is likely to find a comfortable lead. SHALAAKEI (5) is an improver from the Hayes yard, bringing a 1.5-length defeat over 1300m at Wodonga. The longer journey suits and Nolen is engaged today. Will be further improved and can make the finish. BOY FROM OZ (2) resumes and placed this track/trip at his only fresh outing. Has the blinkers on for the first time and has jumped out at Sandown. He has upside and will likely be finishing hard. THE GRUMP (6) resumes this track/trip and needed the outing. In the mix with that under the belt. MR VEGAS (3) can show more second-up.
