Without a great deal of early pace evident Thermosphere Lad may lead the way over Valdarena. VALDARENA (2) is ready to strike now third-up into the campaign as she did last time in work. The inside barrier is a big tick and she'll find this a lot easier than her latest effort. Turner knows her well and she looks the one to beat on that recent effort. ANABALLISTIC (7) went from 1000m to 1300m last start and was solid without really threatening. Back slightly in trip looks a good move and Fiore hops back in the saddle now. Needs a touch of luck from the wide draw but should be right in the finish. THERMOSPHERE LAD (1) has plenty of early speed and has trialled well coming into his resuming effort. He's placed 3/5 first-up and the barrier blanket should help him at the start. Should be thereabouts. BEST OF THE GODS (6) was great fresh at Pinjarra behind an impressive type and has won 2/4 second-up. Looks ready to put his best foot forward again. LIKE NO OTHER (8) comes through the same race as Valdarena and will find this a more suitable task. SUGGESTED PLAY: Valdarena goes on top.
