Not expecting them to go too hard. AMERICAN WOLF (5) showed a lot of courage when finishing second by a nose at Pakenham nearly a fortnight ago. He cops a tough gate this time but has Blake Shinn in the saddle for the first time. Stick with him. MURGASTY (8) was fifth on debut over a mile in a stronger maiden field at Sandown-Hillside 3 weeks ago. He steps up immediately to a longer journey and can figure in the top 3 this time. UTAH (16) is heading the right way with his form, and he will relish racing over a longer distance for the first time third up from a spell. Each-way value. HARD BOB (3) will be peaking third up and will relish having an extra 300m to track this time. Watch closely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Murasty each-way.
