From the wide gate Alenia should push forward. DYLAN'S LAD (11) progressive gelding with an excellent second-up record. Sat on the speed on resumption when a fighting fourth over 1200m at Kembla Grange on May 18. Since fitted with a recent trial win over 1000m at Scone on June 12. Looks too strong for these. STARRY JACK (1) handy gelding who will appreciate the 3kg claim from the good gate after returning to form with a sound victory over 1100m at Armidale three-and-a-half weeks ago. Expected to stalk the speed and take a hand in the finish. CAPITAMY (10) raced in tougher grade at his last two outings and not that far away at latest when ninth over 1200m at Wyong on June 6. Will need a bit of luck early from the sticky draw. GERETY (12) has needed the two runs back and will find this more to his liking after finishing sixth over 1200m at Wyong two weeks ago. Not without top-three claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dylan's Lad to win.
