Strong early tempo assured with Van Meijel, Plinian and Trafalgar Square locking horns. PHILISPIEL (9) showed good speed over this distance at Greyville last time out but found one too good on the day. He has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this course and distance. He takes a drop in class and can go one better. TRAFALGAR SQUARE (6) fought hard in his last start, but found one too good on the day. Rates well as an each-way chance. CHARA SANDS (7) didn't do a bad job when third last start over 1000m at Greyville All Weather. That followed a win at Greyville All Weather the start prior. Likely improver with strong winning prospects. JET LEGACY (3) has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He will strip a much fitter horse today in his second run this prep and must be considered.
