GOING: H(10)

RACECOURSE HOTEL & MOTOR LODGE 150TH GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE 5600m

Track: HEAVY 10     True

JESKO (3) is the new jumping star and was too strong on the first day when scoring by 3 lengths against a similar field. The extra 1350m is the only query, otherwise, he is the one to beat again. WEST COAST (1) is the defending champion who is peaking at the right time. He was as game as they come when third here on the first day. Everyone will be cheering for him. CAPTAINS RUN (4) motored home for second when splitting the top 2 picks on the first day. He can't be ruled out of winning this, especially if he does everything right. PRINCE TURBO (5) has been building his fitness in 4 starts since resuming from a long spell. He is having his first steeplechase run for the year, and can't be ruled out of a top 3 finish. NEDWIN (6) was fourth on the first day and has been a brilliant hurdler for a long time. He might struggle over 5500m, but still has to be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: We can't go past West Coast and think he can upset the favourite and top pick.
