Plenty of runners but a dawdling affair is on the cards. Almost impossible to work this one out. RIPPA BUDDY (1) has been kept on the fresh side after finishing 6th, beaten 3.5 len in latest effort at Mt Gambier. Best ratings have him right on the money here. SMOKIN' GIANT (2) improved a long way second-up at Moe last start to run 2nd, and that has him primed for a big run here. PRAY DAY (18) is the wildcard today off a 61-day rest. Did nothing as favourite last time, and the run prior got rid of the rider. Worth just keeping safe. TARSHIN (8) looks nicely placed third-up and can improve again which has her right in the each-way mix. SAXON BEAUTY (13) and FLYING WITNESS (7) look the next two in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed quinella with 1,2,18,8.
