BIG BAMBOO (10) raced close to the lead before clearing out to score a strong 2.5 length win when resuming at this track and trip last time. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from six starts and should be hard to stop. THE CROWN (8) was leading on the turn and fought on to finish second when fresh at this track at his latest appearance. Has a solid record here over this journey. Takayuki Yano stays on. Among the leading chances. DANCING RASCAL (11) started at $4.90 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth. The engagement of Naoki Machida is a positive move. Finds a nice race and can make amends. G T GOD (12) was in the firing line on the corner and finished second last time when resuming from a spell, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will trim down second-up.
