GOING: S(5)

TAB FEDERAL 1000m

Track: Soft 5   Clear (Max: 17)   Rail: +8m Entire. (Pent: 4.08)

Strong tempo with Castlebar Road, Major Time and Wegotabetterhoffa leading the way. CASTLEBAR ROAD (5) led them up at Bathurst fresh and was gunned down late, beaten 1.2L in a BM82. He's won 2/5 second-up and looks a key pace influence in this race. Quince's claim comes in handy and with the added fitness on his side, he'll be hard to run down. TAP 'N' RUN (2) was just fair in the Flat Knacker at Albury where he was beaten 2.8L. He usually improves with a run under his belt though and now the tongue tie goes on. Lyon hops in the saddle again and sharp improvement is expected. FANGELA (1) beat home Tap 'N' Run last start at Albury but wasn't quite at his best there. Awkward draw here but he loves this track and trip and can put his best foot forward again. KING GUTHO (3) will be fitter for two trials coming into this and does fire fresh. Worth keeping on side. PREMOSPHERE (7) went to town first-up off a long break and this looks to suit better. Keep an eye on her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Castlebar Road on top.
