Reasonable tempo with Bokuden probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. TALAKAI (8) resumes here but the form she showed before the spell was good enough for a race like this. Has placed one from one over this track and trip and gets the services of in-form hoop Jones in the irons. Should be right there when the whips are cracking. HAYAKU (2) is yet to miss a drum in three attempts over this course and distance and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Best form puts him right in this. HUSSON'S REVENGE (4) has gotten better with each run this time in work and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break. Top-three candidate. SILVER PEARL (5) goes well for jockey Cartwright who has two wins and five placings from 12 steers. In the mix while fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Talakai to return a winner.
