Good tempo with several going forward, primarily English Primrose, Angel Of My Heart and Thesupernovastar. FIREBURST (7) was touched off in her last start over this trip and distance. She has won once, finished second twice, and third once from seven starts over this distance. She is nicely poised to go one better. SILKY JET (9) stayed on when fourth over 1500m on the Vaal Classic course last time. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot. THESUPERNOVASTAR (4) finished a game third last start after setting the early pace. She drops to a mile and could take them all the way this time. ENGLISH PRIMROSE (2) ran a good race when second over 1800m on the polytrack last time. She raced from a handy position, moved up before getting outrun late. She is a better horse on the polytrack, but can still earn a cheque here.
