BONJOUR DE GAULLE (3) improved nicely third-up when battling on gamely into third behind Shikanic here last start. Concedes 2kgs to him this time with the apprentice coming off but does strip fitter and is likely to threaten. STAKE A CLAIM (6) was only warming to his task late when finishing fourth here last time out. Expected to be further improved with the three runs under his belt and is in the mix. Can also make smaller cases for BROADWAY LANE (1) and RUSTYDUSTYSUNSHINE (9) who were both too bad to be true last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shikanic to win.
