Should be a good battle early on with Mahrez and Princess Tosen leading the charge. MAHREZ (10) looks set to peak third-up having run a good race to finish second at this track and distance last start, only a nose away from the winner. Finds a similar race here and with any further improvement he'll go close. MAKALU (4) has won two of his past three, both at BM58 level, the latest over 1600m at Seymour. Up slightly in grade here but maps nicely from the soft gate and can measure up. ALL SO CLEAR (6) is racing well, placing at his past three. Beaten when hard in the market at Sale last time but finds a winnable race here and his best efforts would go close. LOOSE ON GIN (9) steps up in trip off the back of a solid win at Bendigo which can suit. REBADGE (2) will find this easier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mahrez to win.
