FWD INSURANCE NCB HANDICAP 1400m Track: SOFT
Genuine early pace with Beauty Fit showing out along with Ka Ying Victory spearing over from an outside gate. SECOND TO NONE (10) is working his way through the grades impressively, winning by 0.3L over this course and distance 35 days ago. He's had a quiet trial since then and he maps to get every chance from the inside draw. Drops 6kg for the rise in weight appears the one to beat. KA YING VICTORY (11) returned to form last start when running on strongly to finish 2L away. He's since won a rial and now Purton hops in the saddle having won 2/4 when partnering. Wide draw is a little knock, but there's no doubt he has plenty of ability. BEAUTY FIT (8) was too strong late in the race a fortnight ago, returning to the winners stall by 0.3L. He only rises 0.5kg despite the win and that rating stacks up nicely in this field. Should be going close again. TOP GUN (3) raced as Pushy in Australia and was working through the grades nicely before being moved to HK. Has trialled well since arriving. Worth keeping an eye on.
