Expecting Cross Statement to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. DANCE BOSS (5) was too good over this course and distance last time out and continues to work through the grades. He looks to have plenty of ability and while this is tougher, he's in the right stable to keep improving. Sticky draw, but trust CJP to get it right and this gelding looks destined for better races than this. ROCKIN' RUPERT (3) just missed in this grade first-up, beaten 0.7L over this track and trip. He's placed 2/4 second-up and this looks a very similar event to what he contested fresh. Expecting him to go very close once again. BECALOTTI (4) finished behind Rockin' Rupert last time out but she did turn in a better effort when fresh. At her peak now third-up where she's won before, and it wouldn't surprise to see her back in the winner's stall. CROSS STATEMENT (1) folded last start after leading them up, but he was in much better form prior. Can bounce back. ZANGIEF (7) was scratched from Wednesday to run here. Looking for the hat-trick and must be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Dance Boss.
