Fast pace assured with Ultimate Command, Born And Bread and Famous Jurney leading the charge. DEETEA (3) was only 0.6L off the winner last time out in an easier race, but the figure she produced there is right up to winning a race like this. Azzopardi replaces the apprentice hoop and he has had success when riding previously. Ready to peak now third-up and can get the job done. BORN AND BREAD (6) held on to win narrowly last start as a 16-1 chance over 1000m. The step up in distance is a niggle, but she has placed 3/4 at this journey. Corver takes 2kg off and if she can stretch her form to 1200m, she'll be in this for a very long way. ENCHANTING SOUND (5) found one better over 1400m a fortnight ago after a plucky win at this course and distance two back. Getting back to this trip may be her calling and Steve Parnham hops in the saddle. Plenty to like about her. ULTIMATE COMMAND (2) is better than she's shown her past couple and is a big threat if she can get back to her best. LUCKY'S WAY (7) can bounce back with a drop in distance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Deetea gets the nod.
