Plenty of early pace from Meisho Kogashira, Grand Speed and Red Elan D'or vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. STRIKE (14) was far from disgraced when second last start over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 2 lengths. That followed a win there the start prior. Best figures measure up and is sure to run well. DANTE BAROWS (10) has been in sparkling form, scoring two wins on end but could manage only a minor placing last time over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Back to the scene of his victory two runs back. Hard to fault and can atone. GULDEN DRAAK (13) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt after being prominent from the outset. Will be handy in running despite the tricky draw and is nicely placed to play a pivotal role. MEISHO KOGASHIRA (7) was in contention on the corner and finished second last start over 1900m at this track, beaten 1.3 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing.
