Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. CHILLING (8) wasn't far away in a strong form race on heavy ground at Port Macquarie first-up before a poor effort at Glen Innes last start. Drops 5kgs and strips fitter so worth another chance. THE AFFIRMATIVE (9) found 1000m at Tamworth a bit slick last start and ended a run of minor placings. Maps to enjoy a comfortable run up on the speed. Can bounce back in this more suitable contest. KOONDEEMAN (6) is racing well and is particularly effective at today's journey, recording two recent wins at Armidale over this trip. On-pacer with good each-way prospects. NO MORE ROMANCE (4) has not raced since July 2024. Has ability and three recent barrier trials should have him ready to make an effective return to racing. OSTRACISED (2) was only three lengths adrift when resuming under 61.5kgs over 1130m at Grafton last time out. Placed at this stage last prep so is expected to kick on with that run under the belt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chilling to win.
