Genuine tempo with The Wayfarer leading the way. UNDER MY THUMB (4) won a Flemington jump-out and then spiked his figures, easily winning a Cranbourne Maiden. She followed with an equally impressive win at Yarra Valley, heavily bet again. Peaks and can take the next step. EXUMA (3) is also in good hands but has disappointed his last two. This looks more suitable, and he should race more tractably with Stackhouse replacing the 3kg apprentice. FOREMAN'S GULLY (7) led and blitzed the Wagga Maidens by 4L. Jumps from an inside gate, and the speedy galloper is sure to give a sight.
MISSED THE MARK (2) finds harder, but is a third-up winner and can fill a slot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Under My Thumb.
