Strong tempo with Gold Talisman and Shank Doll leading from Pompelmo and Top Dia. SHANK DOLL (4) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fourth over 1600m at this track. Sure to be prominent from the outset. TOP DIA (9) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1600m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at this track the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SABUNO LUANA (7) won her maiden over this course and distance last start, getting the verdict by 1.75 lengths. Winning rider Haruto Nakayama stays aboard and she is a great chance to go back-to-back. POMPELMO (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a neck from the winner in second over 1600m at this track. No surprise to see him in the frame.
