Solid tempo with Past And Present, Not Wanted and Real Stunner going hard, closely attended by Ariovistus. BEAUTIFUL SIDE (3) ran a fair race over 1700m last time when finishing fourth of 14. The blinkers remain fitted and if seeing out the extra 250m on offer, she may find herself in the winner's enclosure. REAL STUNNER (9) showed signs of needing his last start over 1400m when resuming from a spell. He will strip a much fitter horse and with luck in the running he should be involved at the finish. PAST AND PRESENT (2) has good recent form lines to his credit. He has been costly to follow but from his good draw of two, he can atone. ARIOVISTUS (1) was well-beaten in his last start over 1700m. His penultimate run when fourth over 2400m was fair. Richard Fourie is booked to ride from pole position, and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most.
