Cracking tempo with Proud Capitalist and Armagh leading the way. GENERAL MENARI (1) has hit top gear this prep, backing up a strong Otaki second with a commanding win over 1200m here last time. He maps to get all the favours, and he looks capable of going back-to-back. RUBY RUSH (5) returns from a short spell after finishing her last campaign with a tidy Te Aroha win over 1400m. She can handle any track conditions, and if she doesn't need the run, then she can give this a shake. LUBECK (6) improved nicely second-up at Ellerslie when finishing close up in fourth over this trip, and she has a superior gate this time. She is peaking at the right time, and her next win is not too far away. MISS MOET ALL (7) set the pace and was only claimed late on the Cambridge Poly track last start, and now that she is back in form, she can take this out. ARMAGH (2) was a last start winner, and he has the scope to kick on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lubeck each way.
