Plenty of speed with King Protea, American Russ and Justcantgetenuff leading Knuckle and Saxon Beach. No stars here which gives SAXON BEACH (13) the chance to break through. Hit the line hard two back for third then raced forward last time and was a close-up fourth. Returns to 1400m for the first time in a while and will push forward here. Best figures stack up well this moderate maiden. SQUAGAGA (7) has had four runs from a break so lacks nothing if fitness, the latest coming home well late to finish midfield. Placed the start prior and is one of the better hopes on best efforts. TWO FAULTS (8) was midfield in a tougher maiden two back before finishing fourth last time. Has a tricky gate to overcome but another of the main hopes. KNUCKLE (5) is fitter for one run in and has the low draw, the claim and good speed. Will be in it for a long way. GRUNDY THREE VOTES (3) returned from a very long break last time and went keenly before condition gave out. Much fitter and can improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saxon Beach gets chance.
