Expecting Victory Melody to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. TURN THE CORNER (1) went well in town first up and then raced favourite here and found one better. He has to manage the outside barrier today, but will be fitter, and the 2kg claim is handy. In the premier metro barn, and hard to risk. EL QUINTO (9) resumed at Eagle Farm and needed it. The former Victorian would be right in it at best, and quick improvement is likely over the longer sprint. GIDDAY GIDDAY (7) led them up here on resumption but faded late. She will be better for that and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Showed enough last prep to consider. VICTORY MELODY (6) led at Coffs Harbour and showed more like his best form. He's been freshened and will be around the mark with average luck pushing forward. MARAVILLAS (2) resumes owning a trial win. He's switched stables and was good last time on debut. The wide gate cruels. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Turn The Corner.
