Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. EIGHT HATS (1) ran a fair race on debut over this distance on the Inside course. She took time to find her feet but stayed on well at the finish to run third. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected should prove hard to beat. EXPLOSIVE POWER (2) is an unraced daughter of Erupt from the Robyn Klaasen stable with Kabelo Matsunyane in the saddle. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chance. WINTER BELLE (8) hails from the Mike and Adam Azzie stable. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and if not in need of the run, she can place. SPIRITRIX (7) is a daughter of Vercingetorix from the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable with S'manga Khumalo up. If not too green in the running can finish in the money.
