From the inside gate Taisei Ares should show enough dash to hold the lead, with pressure from Max Serenade. TAISEI ARES (1) has been in the money three times including last start on May 25 when second over 1200m at this track. Goes well here with two top-three finishes to his credit. Likely to be in the finish. MAX SERENADE (8) wasn't disgraced to finish fourth last time out over 1200m here following a minor placing at this circuit over 1800m the run prior. Likely to play a major role. MISUZU THUNDERSNOW (14) is a six-start maiden who could only manage to finish 11th after being in contention on the bend at her latest appearance over 1600m at Kyoto. Cannot be ruled out in this more suitable assignment. HEYKENS (3) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the layoff he finished fifth over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Solid top-three hope.
