Colonel has good gate speed and can overcome the wide draw to lead. MONARCH COUNTY (4) has trialled well since a disappointing loss at Sha Tin 31 days ago when a $4.60 chance. The blinkers go on now and Bowman hops back in the saddle, who rode him to his maiden win. Expecting a much better performance this time. NEW POWER (7) is hard to knock on recent form, winning here two back before being gunned down late most recently. Has the speed to cross from out wide and if he runs up to his recent efforts, he'll be right in the finish once again. MY DAY MY WAY (5) hasn't drawn a gate in a few runs now, but has shown versatility in the process. He didn't have much luck last start when caught wide, but he just missed there and he's expected to be right in the finish once again. TELECOM POWER (10) disappointed last start but showed he was better than that in his runs prior. Can bounce back to form.
