Gold Something to roll forward and dictate terms. GUARDED OPTIMIST (3) returned to form last start when he raced up on the speed and boxed on well for second over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast. New to this trip but his European staying pedigree suggests he will run it out. Genuine filly MAD ANA (12) won her maiden two back over this trip at Ipswich then found the line well to get up for second in a 2450m Class1 at Beaudesert a fortnight ago. Nicely weighted and is certain to run this journey right out. FULMEN FILOU (9) had his first outing for the Knight stable and was thirty-two days between runs when a game third over 1800m at Inverell recently. Can go a couple better with the senior rider going on. HARDASH (4) was off his game at Gunnedah last start but has placed two from two at Grafton and will get the trip so give him another chance. CROWN'M (1) continues to improve at each appearance this time in work and should be peaking now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Guarded Optimist to win.
