Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Takara Star. MONAZEL (4) cops a wide draw but should still be among the hardest to beat on her form this prep. She has been placed on this track in the past, and all of her 3 wins have been over this trip. On top. HI JULES (3) made up a lot of late ground when runner-up at Beaudesert nearly 4 weeks ago. She slides down in class, and with the benefit of a 1.5kg claim, she is nicely placed to go one better. TOO MUCH MAKEUP (11) has been racing in far tougher company in her last couple of starts and has won her only start on this track. A good draw gives her a big winning chance. LA MANO (12) will be peaking third up from a spell and in this modest field, she has sound each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hi Jules each way.
