He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. He is the best-weighted runner in this contest and he should take a power of beating. GRAND CRESCENDO (4) is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. He is unbeaten from two starts over this distance, and on his best form, he can keep that record intact. GIMMEANOTHERCHANCE (2) is better than his last start in the Grade 2 TAB Hawaii Stakes. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should have a say in the finish. ROYAL FORCE (3) finished fourth behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today, and he may have to settle for the same result. Include in all combinations in the small field.
