HAWAIIAN ICON (2) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being in the firing line on the turn over 1400m at this track, beaten 2 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Has raced four times here and has never missed the frame. Meets some better types this time but another win is not out of the question. RIO SARA (7) was a gutsy winner last time over 1400m at this track, scoring by one length and making it three wins in a row. Looks a genuine threat again here. WIN FIERTE (5) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by 4 lengths over 1400m at this track. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is one of the key runners. RYOMA (3) is ready to win after he just missed last time, beaten a head into second over 1400m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another good run this time.
