VILLAGE STEEL (4) lifted strongly to salute by 2.5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at her last two starts. One of the major players. RASIEL (11) returns from a spell of ten weeks and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished sixth at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m when first-up last time in work. Capable of playing a role. MY VENERABLE (2) failed to live up to expectations over 1600m at this track last time out when in the market. That followed a good third the run prior. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PRESTO RISE (12) is back after a break of four months. Looking to emulate his win at this track at the beginning of last prep. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Takeshi Hasegawa. One to consider.
