Plenty of pressure on from the outset. VIRYA (6) scored by 7 lengths last start at this track over this distance after she was in contention on the corner. Has a fine winning strike-rate over this journey with six wins from seven starts. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. WINDY PALACE (4) did a great job to score by 3 lengths over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Must raise the bar but another big run is on the cards. ENTRAPMENT (2) was a winner over 1400m at this track last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by half a length. Yoshiki Kamomiya who has scored on her four times retains the mount. Certainly one to consider. VENCEDORES (9) returns from a spell of three months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 2200m at Chukyo. Under the care of new trainer Tomotaka Morisawa this prep. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
