Plenty of pace with Taro Thunder and Brave Ruler leading from Shonen Jidai. TARO THUNDER (6) was well in commission last start over 1400m at this track when second, beaten 2 lengths. Yet to miss the placings at this circuit, including three wins. Will prove tough to beat. BRAVE RULER (5) is racing well, scoring two back at this track before finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in second last time over 1500m at this track. Yoichiro Muro who has scored on him three times retains the mount. Should be hard to stop. SHONEN JIDAI (9) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when 9 lengths from the winner in seventh at this course and distance. Should be poised just off the lead. Sure to be competitive. SPINNAKER (3) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing sixth at Funabashi over 1200m. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role.
