MIYABI EXCELLENT (4) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 3 lengths at this track over 1400m. Has a fine record here with two wins from six starts. Will prove tough to beat. HAWAIIAN ICON (1) is a talented type yet to taste defeat after two runs this campaign, the latest over 1600m at this track. Had plenty on his rivals last time and will go close again. POUNCING PUMA (2) improved sharply on her sixth two starts back at this track with a win over 1400m at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 4 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is capable of another big run. HOKUSEN KING O (6) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by one length over 1400m at this track. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again.
