Several of these have good gate speed so a strong tempo is expected. JOVIAN (8) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt, clocking in 4.5 lengths from the winner as favourite. That followed an eight-week break so he should tighten up. Leading contender. GENERALE (1) made progress last start to finish third over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt after being in the firing line on the bend. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. ZAOULI (5) has returned in good shape this preparation. Opened with a third at Kokura Dirt two starts back then got the job done by one length last time out over 1000m at the same venue. Genki Maruyama scored on him last time and retains the mount. Tougher this time but another big run will not surprise. DAZZLING DANCE (7) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Kokura Dirt two starts back then landed the prize by 1.3 lengths as public elect last time out over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
