Moderate tempo with Burgmuller leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. BURGMULLER (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.5 lengths when fourth in a 1600m contest at Ohi two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to get the prize. GOLD LEGACY (7) is back at the races for the first time since December 10. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1600m at Ohi. Expect him to play a major role. AIGLE NOIR (5) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when 12th, beaten 15 lengths, over 1400m at Ohi. Will strip fitter and is capable of sharp improvement. GOOD DEAL (1) finished midfield when resuming from a break last start over 1500m at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Expected to do far better this time.
