SAPPHIRE HANDICAP 1200m Track: GOOD
Solid tempo likely from the outset with a number of speedy beginners engaged, most notably Young Superstar and Polaris. LUCY IN THE SKY (5) continued the hot start to his career with a 1.8L victory at the top of C4 last time out, bolting clear to score impressively. He doesn't drop too much in weight which is a niggle, but he has plenty of talent and he maps for a lovely run once again. Can go back-to-back. YOUNG SUPERSTAR (2) made it two-from-two with a 1.5L victory when making every post a winner. He was there to be beaten first-up and he found another gear to pull away and score. Should lead again from a favourable alley and is likely to take plenty of catching. JAMES TAK (1) is better than he showed last time out when missing the start. Can put his best foot forward today. MODULECONSTRUCTION (8) resumes from an injury enforced layoff and his trials coming in haven't been all that flash. Form prior to the speel was superb though and that form is good enough to be in the finish of this.
