Tarquinius is the probable leader in the small field.
C'MON FLYER (2) is a lightly raced three-year-old who has been about the mark in two runs this prep without threatening. Too one-paced to make a challenge over 1600m at Hawkesbury last start. Finds his right race and should prove tough to beat. TARQUINIUS (4) returned from an 18-week spell and was lining up for only the second time when a tiring sixth over 1500m at Goulburn last time out. Will take a lot from that hit-out and should come into his own over this longer trip. SHADOW OF LIGHT (8) had no hope when thrown in against some elite fillies in the Adrian Knox last Saturday. Hit the line hard in her two runs prior to that at Hawkesbury. Right in the mix in this far more suitable contest. WORMINGTON (1) raced handy but found the winner far too strong over the Hawkesbury mile recently. Should give a good account out to this trip with the blinkers removed. SHE'S A DAME (3) is on trial at today's journey but rarely runs a poor race. SUGGESTED PLAY: C'mon Flyer each-way.
