Can't see them going very hard with a lack of any real speed horses. SUSSEX DUCHESS (6) went close at Geelong and is still shy of her best. It was a big effort after a slow off and leading course striker John Allen sticks aboard. Fitter and she's sure to take beating. KAWA (3) resumes for the Cumani yard and the former Japanese galloper brings strong numbers. She has the rail and has looked sharp at the jumpouts. She's likely to race well despite the time away. BEDOUIN VILLA (1) peaks and was going okay before the flop at Mt Gambier on a heavy track. She goes into the trifecta at least. Hard to see FIGURANTE (2) winning but she will be fitter and may be the best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sussex Duchess.
