Solid tempo anticipated with Aureate and Boult pressing forward with Everlasting Kiss not far away. MAZITA (15) finds a suitable race today out to the 1800m for the first time. Snagged back from the wide draw and failed to settle when a poor twelfth over 1400m at Wellington with the big weight. Will appreciate the good tempo with the big drop in weight. Goes close. AUREATE (8) almost a month between runs for the new stable and back in trip when a plugging eleventh over 1200m at Glen Innes. Assess on his dominant victory two back over the 1400m at Werribee. Expected to turn it around quickly. BILL PEYTO (12) win record hardly excites but has a decent record at this track. Attacked the line strongly from near last on the turn when fifth over 1600m at Quirindi. Looking for this trip and has excellent each-way prospects. ZAYNUDIN (4) back in grade and trip when a most improved first up second over 1710m at Ipswich. Expected to hold that form now and regular rider back aboard. Stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mazita to relish the 1800m.
