Maurita to find the front in the small field. The ex-Victorian MAURITA (8) resumed with a tidy placing at Eagle Farm over a mile and then found one much too good here. She will be fitter again and looks well placed to break through. ROYAL GLADIATOR (5) did a good job placing at Gatton (with Huxtable aboard) and has been outgraded in town his two since. He's been giving away starts, and the longer trip will suit. Gets his chance. BRAIN WAVE (10) found Eagle Farm a stretch too far, but his 1L defeat at Port Macquarie prior stacks up. In good hands and gets in well with the 2kg claim. SPACE JOURNEY (2) comes back in trip and is going well enough to get some minor cash. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Maurita.
