Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but over this trip there is certain to be plenty of early pressure. SORCERESS SUPREME (12) finished fifth of 20 last time out in what was her second start.The manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. She is racing against an easier line-up today and rates well as the runner to beat. DARK WINTER (14) finished fifth on debut and made the expected natural improvement last start when finishing second of 10 over this course and distance. She showed good speed but was outrun late. Has each-way claims. FROM A DISTANCE (7) is an unraced daughter of Querari from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable with Aldo Domeyer in the saddle. If not in need of this outing, she should give a good account of herself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. DIXIELAND BAND (4) was placed third of 10 at this track on debut and rates well as a strong winning chance with the benefit of that race experience.
