Maiden Race 1400m
PRINCESS ATSUKO (8) recorded a fourth minor placing from as many starts last time out, finishing 4 lengths away in second over 1400m at this track. Racing well and is ready to break through. ROUGE BALLON (5) missed the placings first up recently but was not too far from the winner when fifth over 1400m at Chukyo. Lightly raced filly with great scope for improvement. TAGANO SYLPHY (14) resumes from a spell of three months. Could only manage to finish sixth at the latest run over 1700m at Kokura Dirt. Should come back bigger and better this prep and is a chance to break through. SHADOW RULER (12) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing fifth last start over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt two months ago. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Solid claims on best form. |

Maiden Race 1800m
RED FREUDE (9) showed good speed last time out and fought on well when third over 1800m at this track. Should settle on the speed despite the tricky draw. Looks the one to beat. DAIMEI KUMAMOTO (6) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at his latest appearance over 1800m at this track. Hard to beat if back in good order as anticipated. LILY THUNDER (8) continues to improve and should be at his peak now after finishing in the money at Hanshin Dirt over 1800m last time. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SANS L'OMBRE (11) is a three-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Suguru Shibata. By Epicharis from Lingus Uno. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves. |

Maiden Race 1400m
Race with a long tail. AQUA EYE (4) made a strong late bid only to just miss as favourite last start over 1400m at Hanshin. Will derive great benefit from recent racing. Nicely placed in this shallow line-up to play a major role. TANA V HACHI TURBO (18) went forward over 1400m at this track last time and held on for second. Can cross and take up a prominent position again. Goes well at this trip, recording three minor placings, and is sure to play a big role. ARABIAN JOY (1) did her best work late to finish third at a huge quote at her latest appearance at this track over 1400m. Good signs last time and cannot be dismissed. LUNA FIORE (16) finished 3.5 lengths away in ninth at her last appearance over 1600m at this track on May 2. Likely to be thereabouts. |

Maiden Race 2400m
DON'T TESTA MASTER (6) started at $3.30 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 7 lengths at Hanshin Dirt over 1800m after being in contention on the turn. Finds the right race to turn in a big run this time. SALT HAPPY (1) made progress last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2000m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another top three finish. NAMURA WUNDER (7) resumes from a spell of ten weeks and looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 2400m at Hanshin. Re-unites with Katsuma Sameshima. Nicely placed and can kick this campaign off on a bright note. CALABASH (8) is facing the starter for the first time. By Saturnalia and hails from the Ryo Terashima stable. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves. |

Maiden Race 1800m
WILSON (2) resumed from a spell last start with a sound third over 1800m at Hanshin after racing up near the speed all the way. Lightly raced colt with a lot more to offer. Hard to beat in this modest race. ROSA RUGOSA (5) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the layoff he finished fourth over 2400m at Hanshin. No surprise if he was able to give the top pick a scare. RED PALLADIUM (1) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh over 1600m at this track. Fitter this time. Capable of a top three finish. ROSSA COMETA (12) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was beaten 6 lengths when sixth over 1800m at this track. Plenty of improvement to come. |

Allowance Race 1200m
A race of few chances. NIHONPIRO CARAT (5) was in the money first up then met with strong support last time but could only manage seventh over 1400m at this track. Not a great deal of depth here and can bounce back. GRANDE SFIDA (7) produced a good run two starts back to finish third but failed to live up to market expectations last time when out of the placings at Fukushima Dirt over 1150m. Finds a nice race and can atone. KANEKOME FAMILY (11) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fifth at Hanshin Dirt over 1200m after being in contention on the corner. Placed to advantage so expect a better run this time. BARQUENTINE (2) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when 11th over 1200m at Fukushima after he gave away a big start. Worth including on exotics. |

Allowance Race 1600m
Little separates the top three. CHAMPAGNE LIFE (1) could only manage fourth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1600m at Chukyo, beaten 2 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Nicely placed to take this out. PASSCODE (5) has been in the money at her last couple of runs, the latest when third over 1600m at Hanshin. Commendable record at this trip with a win and four minor placings. Sure to prove tough to beat. CORDON BLEU (6) is close to breaking through after two placings from two runs this prep, the latest at this track over 1400m. Likely to play a major role. VIP DYLAN (3) resumes. Commendable record at this trip with a win and five minor placings and cannot be taken lightly. |

THE KYOTO HIGH-JUMP(J . G2) 3930m
NEVIIM (4) was unplaced two starts ago in a G2 steeplechase (3900m) at Hanshin then produced a better result last time when he finished a distant fifth in the Nakayama Grand Jump steeplechase (4260m). Can play a serious role in this less daunting race. SHIHONO SPERANZA (5) returned from a layoff last time out in a steeplechase (3350m) at Nakayama, finishing seventh when partnered by today's rider J Takada. Generally goes well second up, with three wins from nine runs. Key runner - don't underestimate. DANON ROCKY (1) returns from a 84-day spell. Concluded the last prep with a minor placing in a steeplechase (3390m) at Kokura, beaten 0.8 lengths. Must be considered. MEISHO ATSUITA (3) resumes from a spell of two months. Had just the one run last preparation, finishing fourth in a G2 steeplechase (3900m) at Hanshin. Has found the right to launch this prep. |

AZUSA SHO 2000m
Small field but five or six decent chances. ECHIGO DRAGON (6) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish 1.1 lengths away in third over 2000m at Hanshin. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. SATONO IVORY (4) ran a bold race over this journey when resuming last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish 0.8 lengths away in second at Hanshin. A bit more depth to this but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. A SHIN IGNIS (9) is a talented colt who was well held last time out in the tougher race won by Matenro Gale over 2000m at Hanshin, beaten 6 lengths into seventh. Should settle handy and will be in this for a long way. SAIMON CHARIOT (3) finished third last time over 2000m at Fukushima, beaten 3.5 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. In the mix. |

KAMIGAMO STAKES 1900m
TAGANO MAKASIH YA (10) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing second last time when he was prominent throughout over 1800m at this track. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. PENNA VELOCE (1) has struck a bit of form of late, finishing third over 1800m at this track most recently. Honest type who looks a great chance to take this out. STOP YEARNING (3) finished sixth two runs back at Hanshin Dirt then improved last time out to score by 4 lengths after being prominent at the bend over 1800m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to cope. RUDESHEIM (4) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was in contention on the bend before being beaten 2.25 lengths into fourth over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt. Strips fitter and can feature in the finish. |

KURAMA STAKES 1200m
DIANASAAL (3) is having his first run since February 21. Goes very well when fresh - has not been out of the money in four first-up runs and did win over 1400m at Hanshin at the start of last prep. Leading contender. FLICKER JAB (12) last appeared when sixth over 1200m in the G3 Yukan Fuji Sho Ocean Stakes at Nakayama 11 weeks ago at the only appearance of that campaign. Kohei Matsuyama who has three wins when partnering stays on. Should be hard to stop back in this company. UNCLE CROSS (6) returns from a spell of four months and did win first-up last time in work over 1200m at this track. Capable of playing a major role. YANKEE BAROWS (13) finished seventh over 1400m in the G3 Hankyu Hai at Hanshin at his most recent appearance on February 21. Among the better hopes coming back in grade. |

Allowance Race 1200m
LIGHTNING ZEUS (10) found plenty to salute by 1.5 lengths three runs back at Nakayama Dirt before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will give a great sight once again. DON PASSIONE (2) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt, finishing 1.4 lengths from the winner as favourite. Hasn't won for a while but in this modest affair he is a leading contender. INDIGO AZUL (14) bounced back last start and got the job done by one length over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Won't find this all that much harder and he is good enough to play a major role. FEDERER (13) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts. |
