Maiden Race 1400m
FORWARD CHASSE (15) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at Nakayama, beaten 8 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Better for that run and looks sure to feature in the finish. HOTEL STREET (7) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt, beaten only 1.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Best figures measure up. Should run well. OCEAN STELLA (1) finished third first-up at Nakayama Dirt then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fourth at the same venue over 1200m when beaten 4 lengths. The blinkers go on so a brighter run may be on the cards. ACROSS MEMORIA (13) resumes from a spell of ten weeks. Could only manage to finish 12th at the latest run over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Has ability so don't underestimate. |

Maiden Race 1600m
AOI MIZUHO (5) has been in solid form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten comfortably into third over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt when he was prominent throughout. Has his share of ability and looks hard to beat in this ordinary race. ETERNAL HOPE (14) returned from a break of three months and finished second over this course and distance last time out. Back-marker who keeps coming. Will prove hard to hold out. GILLE CHALUIM (2) stepped out for his debut over 1800m at Nakayama back on March 8 and finished tenth, beaten a long way. Should offer a bit more this time around. TROPHY POSE (15) is on debut. By Nadal and comes from the Yoichi Kuroiwa stable. Worth watching for a betting push. |

Maiden Race 1300m
VIS CRES (12) did little and finished 11 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1300m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Nakayama Dirt the run before. Likely improver with strong prospects in a race that lacks quality. GENTEN (11) is a three-start maiden who finished sixth at his most recent appearance over 1400m at Chukyo. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. COCO LASSI (8) is yet to break through in eight runs. Finished fourth at his last appearance over 1400m at this track on April 25. Worth including in this winnable contest. AVALANCHE (10) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1300m at this track, beaten a neck. Going better than most of these so expect a forward showing. |

Maiden Race 2000m
HISHI NASQUILLO (4) is a three-year-old filly who lines up for the first time. From a strong family that has produced the Gr 3 winner Command Line, being by Contrail from the former top race mare Condo Commando. Sure to be well-educated, being from the Hori stable. Promising type who looks set to make a positive start to her career. CANTINA (8) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1800m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. BRIGHT AIRY (12) is still a maiden after seven runs. Was popular in betting last time out but didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fourth over 2000m at Fukushima. Expected to feature in the finish this time. CHERIE CHOUCHOU (13) returns after 12 weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with an eighth over 2400m at this track. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise. |

Maiden Race 1400m
A race of few chances. HONEY JO (2) is back from a spell. Raced just once last prep which was ten weeks ago and finished ninth over 1800m at Nakayama. Better than that run suggests. A bold showing is expected this time around. REVER L'ANGE (12) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second when resuming last time out over 1600m at this track. Strips fitter so anticipating another big run. HERALDIQUE (10) pushed forward from a wide draw when fresh from a spell last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish seventh over 2000m at Nakayama. Solid top-three claims. BELLAGIO KAISER (11) was well in commission on his debut over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt back on February 14 but finished 12th. Should be given another chance. |

Allowance Race 2400m
The top four picks have it between them. MAJORELLE BLEU (3) broke through for his maiden win over 2400m at Kyoto last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he can go on with it. IBUKI (4) had a bit on his rivals when resuming last time out, scoring an impressive 2 lengths maiden win over 2400m at this track. Yusuke Hara was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Capable of taking the next step. GAROFANO (7) is a progressive three-year-old filly who hasn't raced since finishing third over 2400m at this track on February 10 which was the only run of that prep. Has a strong fresh record including a win and one minor placing. Shapes as one to consider. BROWN BANANA (8) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 2200m at Nakayama, beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can atone. |

Allowance Race 1400m
The top four are hard to split. MUTEKI SHACHO (13) resumed last time out and finished second over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 2 lengths. Didn't come up last prep so that was an encouraging effort. Key runner. AIR SALOME (4) returned from a spell eight weeks ago when she was beaten 6 lengths into fourth over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Fitter and sure to run well. REALIZE BRIGHT (6) got off the mark over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt last start, scoring by a neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders. TAIKI BLITZEN (8) is back from a 12-week spell and he does run well first-up, including a win over 1600m at this track at the start of last prep. Strong candidate. |

Allowance Race 1600m
HAKUSHIN BRIAN (15) wound up strongly last time out to finish a long neck adrift in third over 1600m at this track. Racing well without winning. Will settle handy and looks sure to play a major role. NOAH VIVACE (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 1600m at this track, beaten only a nose. Nicely placed to find winning ways. DREAMING UP (2) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 1400m at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. B B BERZERK (12) is a 12-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was beaten 3 lengths when fourth over 1600m at this track. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat. |

CHOFU TOKUBETSU 1800m
CHANSON D'OR (3) last appeared when successful by a neck over 1800m at this track 12 weeks ago, the only time she went to the races last prep. Should camp just off the leaders. Looks the winner again. WILL SURVIVE (6) comes here off a break of three months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1800m at Hanshin. Comes here with the best chance of an upset. MEANT TO BE (5) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at Nakayama over 1800m. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. MADEMOISELLE ASK (2) was in the money at each run this time in before scoring over 1800m at Niigata last time. Confidence back now. Has to be respected. |

TACHIKAWA TOKUBETSU 1400m
Open race despite the smallish field. MERIDIAN STAR (8) is a promising galloper who got the prize at his only run last prep six-and-a-half months ago over 1400m at this track. Has a very strong record first-up including two wins. Should camp just off the leaders and is the leading contender. RHATISCHE (12) was handy on straightening and went on to finish second last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths when resuming. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. BELLAGIO WORLD (6) missed the frame when resuming last start over 1400m at this track but wasn't all that far from the winner. Has never missed the frame when second-up. Boasts two wins and three minor placings from seven runs at the trip. One to consider. POD BEL (11) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out and can fill another top-three spot. |

ROKUSHA STAKES 2400m
TRIPLE CORK (6) is back from a spell of ten weeks. Raced once last campaign and finished second over 2500m at Nakayama. Rates highly and looks a little bit better than these. VALENTINE GIRL (2) resumes. Finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 2500m at Nakayama ten weeks ago. All set to run well while fresh. HEARTS CONCERTO (4) returns from a spell of 15 months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fifth over 2400m at this track. Has a decent record at this track with four minor placings from six runs. In the mix if forward enough. KING SQUALL (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Hanshin, beaten 5.5 lengths into 12th. Capable of a top four finish. |

Allowance Race 1600m
CAPE WICKHAM (9) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 18 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths. Placed to advantage in this moderate line-up so expect a big run. CHIGIRI (4) lines up on the back of a 4.5 lengths fourth over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt when second-up from a spell. Draws a much better gate and will be hard to beat. THE ROSE HEARTS (3) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when fifth over 1400m at this track after she settled well back. Should be peaking now and is ready to show what she can do. NON STANDARD (5) returned from a spell seven weeks ago when she was beaten comfortably into fourth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts. |
