Territory Water Solutions Class 2 Handicap 1200m
Uncle Barry, Bon's A Lad and Buades all possess good speed. UNCLE BARRY (2) had his first run for a new yard and got a long way back at Alice Springs before making some late ground. This is easier and better suited to this longer trip. Can improve sharply. BON'S A LAD (4) wasn't far away last time when fifth at Alice Springs and meets the third-placed Pub Crawl a couple of kilos better. Can turn the tables. PUB CRAWL (3) placed third and will find this easier. Doesn't win out of turn but a repeat of the latest would go close. MACHINE MAN (1) resumes and makes debut for a new yard. Has good form for this with the Bobbin yard and no surprise to see a big run. HELLO MARY (6) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Uncle Barry can atone. |

Up Front Towing Handicap 1100m
Expecting Miss Boom to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. MISS BOOM (2) is a former SA galloper who had first run for the Healey yard with a strong second at Alice Springs. This is easier and will take catching in the small field. FORGETABOUTIT (3) resumes for the Cole yard and while yet to win has placed 4/4 runs while fresh. Suited here and looks a leading player. HELLIVIT (1) was runner-up in a good form race this trip two back then was well below best over the sharper dash latest. Extra trip a plus and deserves another chance. SHEER REWARD (6) has been racing over a little further but has placed 2/2 this trip. One of the chances. JUELENE (4) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Boom can atone. |

AJ Couriers & Haulage TROBIS Maiden Plate 1000m
Anticipating a genuine tempo over the 1000m journey. EPIC JEWEL (7) is a former Victorian who ran fifth at Pakenham on debut for the Griffiths yard before switching teams. Looks well placed here and can hit the ground running for the Healy yard. PIGEON (6) made her debut here a year ago and placed, then stretched out over further and further before contesting the NT Derby when safely held. Back to the Creek and can run well fresh off a long break. D'AMBIDEX (5) is a speedy galloper close to a win and will take catching. GOD'S EYE (4) was close to a win before disappointing last time and gets another chance in easier grade. SAXON BEACH (3) is a 20-start maiden but rates well on best figures. SUGGESTED PLAY: Epic Jewel can run well fresh. |

Territory Waters Solutions Handicap 1450m
Only a small field with Kessler likely to find a comfortable lead. STARTON (6) was a winner three back then not far away the last couple. Goes forward and expected to stalk the lead and prove tough to hold out. COLLISON (8) is fitter for two runs back and put the writing on the wall latest when runner-up in the same race as Starton. Has a good third-up record. MR JONES (4) has been racing well in Alice Springs including a fast-finishing win over a mile latest. Will give a start over this sharper journey but should be motoring home late. KESSLER (1) is a speedy type drawn low and looks the pace after a little freshen-up. Can give a sight. TAIPAN TOMMY (7) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Starton can bounce back. |

Little Rippers Denis Staunton Memorial Cup 1200m
Looks a keen contest with Real Valentia and Verbosity pressing for the lead with Frawley and Limited Risk close at hand. LIMITED RISK (5) was placed this trip in open class two back at Alice Springs then was fourth there over a little further last time. Change of rider and sure to prove tough to beat. POMPEII EMPIRE (2) has been in great touch lately including a win two back then runner-up latest. Has a little extra weight but will be hard to hold out. THROW AT DA STUMPS (6) signalled a return to form last time when on speed and boxing on well to finish runner-up. Won only try course and distance and looks a top chance off the low draw. VERBOSITY (3) rates highly and can give a sight off the inside. REAL VALENTIA (1) is back in class and looks a strong top-three hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Limited Risk can atone. |

Remote Concrete N.T./Ladbrokes Tennant Creek Cup 1600m
Grinzinger Bishop and Venting have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. Going with the Alice Springs Cup as the lead-up form. VENTING (1) won this last year when well fancied and led throughout to score by a space. Comes into this off a disappointing run in the Alice Cup but on the quick back-up and gets a chance to atone. GRINZINGER BISHOP (4) also ran in the Alice Springs Cup and ran well for fifth. Looks well placed in this as the main danger. THE GIRL'S BOY (3) ran on well to score over 1400m latest and has form at the mile. One of the chances. ALTAR BOY (2) is a veteran galloper strong at the journey and rates one of the chances. FIGO THE GREAT (6) is racing well including a 2000m win last time and will be strong late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Venting. |
