NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
Without a designated pacemaker it will probably turn into a dash home. SIXTY NINE GRANGE (10) has the least convictions of anything in this field and the most upside. Safely held at Rockhampton last start however did place two back at Townsville. LADY DE VEGA (5) had been rock-solid with three placings in a row before finishing fifth over 1100m at Mackay last start. Key runner who can make amends dropping back to an easier contest. 35 start maiden and hopeful the patience of conncetions is finally rewarded today. VOLARE (6) failed to figure last time over 1200m at Townsville, beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth. Looks suited in this contest. Hard to make a case for the rest. LIVELY SPIRIT (7) could have upside at career start three although is yet to beat a rival home on raceday. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sixty Nine Grange for the win. |

BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1460m
Solid tempo anticipated with Sideshow Frankie and Mohawk Warrior pressing forward with Stateswoman not far away. THAT'S IT (1) has recorded three minor placings from four runs this preparation. Continued the trend at the most recent appearance when third over 1200m at Townsville after he was well back on straightening. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. MOHAWK WARRIOR (5) was only a nose from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 1350m at Mt Garnet. Should park just off the speed. Will give a great sight. BUBBLES'N'FROTH (2) was in the money two starts back but couldn't back it up last time when eighth at Townsville over 1200m. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the main contenders. SIDESHOW FRANKIE (4) has been mixing form but was in the money last start when second over 1608m at Gladstone. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: That's It on top. |

GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO BURDEKIN CUP BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1830m
A solid tempo on the cards with Zouhope taking charge. COLLEANO (1) has switched yards since scoring by 0.7 lengths at Warwick over 1500m on April 28. Sure to take beating. CASH ARTIST (5) registered a strong win at Mackay two runs ago then finished second over 1800m there last start, beaten a nose. Key runner. ZOUHOPE (4) is a last-start winner over the shorter trip of 1400m at Cloncurry, getting home by a neck. Will appreciate the big weight drop so he is capable of another strong effort. FIRST MAN (3) improved last time out, finishing 0.7 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1560m at Mackay. Likely to hold the form and is a strong top-three prospect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Colleano can win again. |

STAR LIQUOR BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1000m
Exolent Choice, Elie Joe and Remember Roy to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. MIDDLE CHILD (7) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by a long neck over 950m at Cairns last start. Among the top chances again. EXOLENT CHOICE (1) returned from a break over 1000m at Gregory Downs and won by 0.6 lengths. Worth following up.
OFFICE POLITICS (5) finds it hard to win but has been placed on five occasions and looks well suited here. Include in all multiples. DIAMOND LUCY (9) handy mare who finished third last start but was beaten only 1.75 lengths over 1000m at Bowen. In the mix. REMEMBER ROY (2) has been out of the money lately but gets a chance here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Middle Child again. |

NEXT GEN BUILDING CO BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1180m
There should be a bit of pressure with Madam Borodina and War Council pressing forward in advance of Redlights On and Dalt Jaz. DALT JAZ (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but did a good job when returning from a break last time at Bowen, finishing second and only 1.3 lengths from the winner at the end of 1000m when he made late ground. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. BANXI (1) resumes from a break of three-and-a-half months. Finished fifth at his most recent appearance over 1800m at Eagle Farm. Key runner fresh. WAR COUNCIL (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth over 1400m at Townsville. Has the class to build on that encouraging effort last start. MADAM BORODINA (3) could be ready to improve out to this distance third up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,1,4,3. |

2026 BATTLE OF THE BUSH HOME HILL QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap 1180m
Strong tempo assured from Booming Lad and Under The Limit leading the charge. ODEGAARD (3) disappointed last time when 11th over 1300m at Rockhampton after a close second at Mackay the run prior. Better suited at this shorter trip so a bold showing is expected. BOOMING LAD (2) made progress last time out, finishing third at the end of 1200m at Mackay. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect. UNDER THE LIMIT (1) seasoned galloper who ran a solid race last time when half a length back in second over 1000m at Bowen. In the mix. TOW THE LINE (8) won two back and fell just short of back to back wins when second at Mt Garnet last start. Rounds out the winning chances in a small but competitve affair. SUGGESTED PLAY: Win bet Odegaard. |
