BISLEY WORKWEAR PLATE 1200m
Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. SWIFT RULER (3) got well back and never featured on debut over 1000m, but he's trialled very impressively since. Pike now hops on board with the rise to 1200m looking ideal for him on what he's shown recently. Can take closer order today and notch up a maiden victory. BARRON BILL (1) has jumped an odds-on pop in both favourites, bumping into a smart one fresh before a 1.7L defeat in Maiden company most recently. The step to 1200m now might be what he's looking for and he should get every chance for Fiore from a good draw. Can go one better. VINNY NAY (2) comes back from the Sires' where he held his own. Makes plenty of appeal. MANHATTAN RHYTHM (7) is not to be discounted with the aid of an inside barrier on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Swift Ruler goes on top in the first. |

FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK HANDICAP 2200m
Solid tempo with Rock In Wonder leading from Argyle Star and Antique Star. ANTIQUE STAR (1) didn't finish off as anticipated over 1800m last time out when behind a smart one and steps up in distance today. She's placed at this trip previously and the claim of Martinan comes in handy. Can land in a handy position and get back to winning ways today. ROCK IN WONDER (3) led them up last start as the race favourite over this trip at Ascot and was only gunned down late in the race. Has enough speed to roll across from the tricky draw and Corver knows him well. Rates highly on recent efforts and can go one better this time around. ROYAL TROOPER (7) has been a little plain his past couple after a good win at Pinjarra three starts back. The inside draw should see him get every chance and his best form is good enough. Can play a leading role. ARGYLE STAR (4) was brilliant in the Jericho Cup Qualifier last start and again at this trip two back. Worth including. DARK LOOKS (2) is in the mix on his recent form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Antique Star looks the one to beat. |

TABTOUCH - WESTSPEED PLATINUM SERIES HEAT 1 1200m
Slick tempo with Nonesospicy to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. MT SHIRATAKU (3) only had one start last campaign when flying late from the back of the pack to be beaten 1.3L. His two trials coming into this have been very impressive with Fiore in the saddle, who sticks with him today. May end up back in the run, but he has plenty of upside and he can return with a bang. ACORN (2) missed in a photo finish last start when sitting on the speed throughout. Pike sticks with him today and the better draw this time around should help his chances. Ticks plenty of boxes and will take plenty of catching. NONESOSPICY (1) led them up on debut in easier company and just felt the pinch late, beaten 0.7L. She'll be fitter for that effort and she's a second-up winner in the past. Can turn in a bold run from the front. GO GO GROMMET (5) gets the blinkers back on today and can improve third-up into the campaign. CAPORETTO (8) is better than he showed last time out and can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Mt Shirataku. |

THE LAWN PRIDE AUSTRALIA HANDICAP 1000m
Strong tempo assured with Hezangelic, Niccimota and Scream rolling to the front. ELITE BEAU (8) is first-up today after tackling the Placid Ark Prelude before the break where he jumped the race favourite. He's unbeaten fresh and his recent trials coming in suggest he's ready to fire a shot. Will need a touch of luck from the draw, but Pike rides and he can return with a bang. HEZANGELIC (1) got the job done in a photo finish last time out and we'll get a guide on that form in the race prior to this. The inside draw should see him up on the speed and with Nottle on board, he can bring up the hat-trick. NICCIMOTA (3) just missed last time out when fading late but draws better this time around. Can give them something to catch. MAIN ACT (9) comes back to 1000m today and can put his best foot forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: Elite Beau can resume a winner. |

TOUR EDGE GOLF HANDICAP 1400m
Plenty of pace evident with Media Mogul and Bannered leading the way from Jimmy Angel and Quokka Rocka. LADIES PRO (2) dipped second-up when beaten 1.7L but scored an impressive win fresh that suggested she was ready to take the next step. She ran her peak figure third-up last campaign when only 2.4L away in the G2 WA Guineas. Can explode now third-up and return to winning ways. LIKE CLOCKWORK (3) was very impressive on resumption when winning by 2.5L over 1200m. Out to 1400m doesn't look an issue with the way she finished off last start, though the wide alley is a query. Hard to knock her return effort though and can repeat the dose. SPELLBORN (4) beat Ladies Pro last start and looks a nice horse on the rise. The wide draw is an issue, but he did storm over the top to break his maiden and this track and trip two back. Can bring up the hat-trick. PEACEFUL RULER (1) is racing well and comes here off a freshen. Not to be discounted. GOD'S RAPTURE (6) can feature in the finish stepping back up to 1400m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ladies Pro can bounce back in a big way. |

MRS MAC'S HANDICAP 1600m
Expecting Prophet And Power to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. OUR PALADIN AL (2) got a long way back on resumption and should be better for that effort. Getting out to the mile is a big tick and he maps to get every chance from a good draw. His best form is good enough to win a race of this calibre and he can land the knockout blow. FIRST ENCOUNTER (5) is first-up today and lands here on the back of two winning trials, the latest over 1400m. Pike was on board for both heats and remains in the saddle for his return. He's won 3/6 when riding the gelding and he can make a statement on his return. MADAME MAGIC (6) has finished behind a good one her past couple, beaten 3.2L most recently over 1800m. Back in trip today, but was strong from the back two starts ago. Can play a leading role. BAKEEL (1) reunites with Manoel Nunes and can feature on his best form. SOLDANELLE (7) has to be included following a narrow defeat at Ascot last time out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Our Paladin Al. |

SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo anticipated with Norich taking charge. DRAKAINA (7) comes in first-up and without a trial, just like she did when winning the Jungle Mist Classic during The Pinnacles. Pike's booking means she's ready to fire first-up and she continues to raise the bar every time she comes back to the races. Can storm over the top to score fresh again. SNITZALATTE (9) couldn't bring up the hat-trick last start when beaten 0.8L when favourite in an Open 3YO race. She drops 6.5kg today and while this is tougher, her recent figures suggest she's up to the grade. Makes plenty of appeal with no weight on her back. PETULA (4) was strong in The Joey and has been back to the trials since. She's likely to get back from the wide draw but she looks well placed back to this level and she can finish off strongly from the back. SIR DREAMALOT (11) is racing in good order and can't be left out of calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Drakaina can get the money first-up. |

DRUMMOND GOLF - BELMONT SPRINT 1400m
Moderate tempo with Hoba West leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. The feature race now and SMOOTH CHINO (9) looks the one to beat following a return to form in the Northam Stakes last time out. This looks to shape favourably from an inside draw and the rise to 1400m doesn't look an issue on what he did last start. Can bring up back-to-back wins. WESTERN EMPIRE (1) has trialled very impressively coming into this, though he can take a run to get going as he did last time in work. He draws well for his return today however and should be in a stalking role just off Smooth Chino. He's a grand old horse who can make a statement on his return. DIAMOND SCENE (5) boasts a strong first-up record and won a similar race to this first-up last campaign. Only one trial coming in, but he was good there and and he can turn in a bold effort on resumption. MAGNIFICENT ANDY (2) gets one more chance in a race that looks to set up nicely for him. Draws a gate now getting up in trip and he can improve. ROPE THEM IN (3) will be launching late getting up to 1400m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Smooth Chino can get the job done. |

SENTURF HANDICAP 1600m
Fast tempo assured with Hope To Rule, Saxon Jewel and Desert Edge going toe-to-toe. ASTRO WORLD (9) just missed on resumption when beaten in a photo finish over 1400m on the Scarpside at Pinjarra. She'll need a touch of luck from the barrier draw and was favourite on resumption. Carries less weight here with Pike sticking in the saddle and she can go one better. MOONWALK (13) also jumped favourite at Ascot when 1.6L off the winner on the quick turnaround over 1400m. She rises to the mile again for just the second time and should land in a beautiful position for Fiore. Can return to winning ways in what looks a suitable race. MIDNIGHT STAR (11) is looking for the hat-trick after winning a CL1 in good fashion over the mile at Ascot last time out. Chris Parnham replaces the apprentice hoop and she makes plenty of appeal. HOPE TO RULE (7) can give a bold sight from the front. MACCIATEAU (6) is racing well without winning and is worth including with the blinkers going back on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Astro World gets the nod in the last. |
